Monday 9/26 due for class Reading: Go to ProCon's page on the election. http://2016election.procon.org/view.source-summary-chart.php You will choose 5 topics that both Clinton and Trump have positions on: 1 must be from economy, 1 from immigration and 1 from foreign policy. Choose another two other topics that interest you. Click on the topic to read an explanation of the candidate's position. Fill in the form below. You do not need to write full sentences; just notes on the main ideas. Go to the Washington Post's fact checker page https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/politics/2016-election/fact-checker/?tid=a_inl Read three claims by Donald Trump. Then, read the fact-checker response (click on the link). Do the same for Hilary. Record your notes on the second page of the worksheet.

Writing: You will write a cause-effect essay on either the environment or animals. You can choose what the controlling idea is (e.g. reasons why an animal is endangered, causes of water pollution etc.) You need to have a thesis for class.
Tuesday 11/29 Writing: Have an outline complete with points and examples for your cause-effect essay. You can use p141-142 + 144 from your writing text as a your outline.
